My name is Scott Horsburgh. A personal short term goal I want to accomplish is to be a mentor for other junior developers. I'm always open to challenges, constructive feedback, open-minded and learn quickly. I want to be a part of a team to help develop high-quality and unique products.
Being able to communicate with non-technical associates, understanding the importance of customer service and working together as a team to achieve business goals is important for the growth of a company.
A few examples of helping others solve coding issues who are stuck and then figuring it out. A great way to learn for yourself and if I can share any knowledge to help others that is a great feeling.

Issues with the connection of the Postgres database
Followed what the error was giving in chrome developer tools and figured out where to look. The table created was spelled differently by one letter and wasn't recognizing it.
There was an issue using the face detection api from Clarifai where it was not connecting.
Ended up looking into the documentation of Clarifai and found out the model they ask for to connect to their api was different then the code so we updated the code based on the documentation getting rid of the api key directly and adding the name of the specific api of the many Clarifai offers instead of an actual key.
This classmate was reaching out for advice from others and asked me for help. I gave him advice based on my own experience when starting out and thought it was great for someone to reach out to me and hopefully helped him in his own journey to success.

Issues with versions of Bcrypt for hashing, Postgres database name spelled incorrect and deploying to Heroku with his project because of an package.json file and process.ENV setup.
Ended up updating node server.js file name in package.json, updating to a previous version of Bcrypt to match code syntax, changed database names to lowercase, added process.ENV || 5000 and Procfile for Heroku.
